CD Projekt RED recently confirmed that The Witcher 4, the next big entry in its acclaimed action RPG franchise, won’t launch until after 2026. While this is somewhat expected since it entered full production last November, another high-profile release also shouldn’t be expected next year: Naughty Dog’s Intergalactic.
Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier commented on ResetEra that its appearance at The Game Awards 2024 was a “very early” tease. He then outright stated that it would not launch next year.
Though Naughty Dog has yet to provide a release window for Intergalactic, director Neil Druckmann indicated it’s still changing and evolving during development. Inspired by the likes of Akira and Cowboy Bebop while tackling themes of loneliness, the title promises the “deepest gameplay” in the developer’s history. It’s also allegedly taking notes from Elden Ring’s player freedom.
Intergalactic is in development for PS5. Stay tuned for more updates, and check out our feature for everything you should know.
