Now here's a blast from the past. Despite being almost dead and buried for nearly sixteen years, Microsoft have moved to renew the Killer Instinct trademark in recent months. The claim has been contested due to a 2005 TV series of the same name but, even if it returns under a different guise, the glory days of 2D fighting may well return. Let's hope the KI reboot heralds the new Xbox Live Arcade experience of the Xbox 720.
