It Takes Two

Hazelight Studios’ It Takes Two launched earlier this year to widespread acclaim, with Josef Fares and his team once again delivering an excellent co-op game full of variety and creativity, and the game has, thankfully, enjoyed the kind of commercial success it deserves. Back in April, the developer confirmed that it had sold a million copies, and now, it’s crossed another major sales milestone.

Hazelight recently took to Twitter and announced that It Takes Two has now sold over 2 million copies worldwide. Clearly, sales are keeping a pretty steady momentum. It’s a remarkable achievement, especially when you consider that just like A Way Out, It Takes Two also uses the Friend’s Pass system.

It Takes Two is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. In our review of the game, we awarded it a score of 8/10, saying, “While its story and characters could have used more work, It Takes Two is a fantastic co-op game that moves masterfully from genre to genre and never overstays its welcome.” You can read our full review through here.

Hazelight boss Josef Fares is confident his studio is going to keep up this form, having recently said that their next game “will be even better than It Takes Two.”
