Hazelight Studios’ co-op action adventure It Takes Two has sold more than one million copies since releasing on March 26th. In a separate tweet, director Josef Fares said that, “This shows that there definitely is players that also wants to play co-op only games” and that he hopes “we see more games like this.” For comparison’s sake, the studio’s last major release A Way Out crossed one million sold in 21 days.
It Takes Two tells the story of Cody and May, a couple whose marriage has been facing problems. When their daughter’s sadness turns them into dolls, they must work with Dr. Hakim aka the Book of Love to fix their marriage. This involves embarking on a co-op adventure with platforming, mini-games and various other genres.

As for what Hazelight is working on next, Fares has stated that its next game will be “even better” than It Takes Two. Stay tuned for more details and potential announcements in the meantime.
