Sega has announced that Judgment, the next big game from the development team behind Yakuza, will release in the West on June 25th. Releasing for PS4, it will be available at both physical retail and digital stores with digital pre-orders currently live. Those who pre-order now can actually play the full game on June 21st thanks to early access.

Judgment follows Takayuki Yagami, a former defense lawyer who’s become a private detective. Yagami is looking into a serial murder operating in Kamurocho and must gather evidence to find the culprit. Investigations are a big part of the game as players comb through crime scenes.

Of course, there’s also a fighting system that lets players switch between different styles and battle thugs. Though it utilizes the same assets and location as Yakuza, Judgment offers an entirely different story. It’s already available in Japan for PS4 as of December 13th 2018. Whether it comes to PC like Yakuza 0 or Yakuza Kiwami remains to be seen.
