Judgment from Ryo ga Gotoku Studio, which recently received a release date for the West, looks a lot like Yakuza. It even shares the same key location as Yakuza. However, there are several differences between the two regardless, aside from just the protagonist and story. Luckily, a new trailer is out to highlight some of the unique features.

Our hero is Takayuki Yagami, a private investigator operating in Kamurocho. To do that, he’ll partake in sneaking missions and quick time event-style chases. There are also times he may have to snap photographs, like when handling infidelity cases. Combat is still a core part of the experience, as evidenced by the ability to “kick faces”- so that’s nice.

Otherwise there’s plenty of new stuff, from spying with drones to investigating crime scenes and reviewing evidence (complete with a Phoenix Wright-style “Objection!”) and so on. Judgment is out on June 25th for the PlayStation 4 in Europe and North America. If you pre-order it digitally, then you can start playing on June 21st.
