Kena Bridge of Spirits

Ember Lab’s Kena: Bridge of Spirits debuted during the recent PS5 reveal event and stood out for its gorgeous aesthetic and cute creatures. There’s an undercurrent of dark themes though as chief creative officer Michel Grier and chief operating officer Josh Grier revealed recently. Some new gameplay details were also provided at their recent Future Games Show presentation.

As Kena, players will be in charge of rescuing spirits as the Spirit Guide. Along the way, she’ll have her own team of small spirits called Rot that will provide new abilities and even carry objects. As Kena battles her way through the world, she’ll also learn more about each spirit.

While Michael and Josh Grier didn’t provide much more information on the darker themes of the story (hinted at in the opening cinematic movie), they did tweet some new concept art. Kena: Bridge of Spirits is out this year for PS5, PS4 and PC. The PC version is exclusive to the Epic Games Store.
