Killer Instinct Announced for Xbox One: Developed by Rare and Double Helix

C-C-Combo breaker!

Wow.

That’s all we can really say. After years and years of Microsoft wasting their time with Rare Studios and using them to only developer Kinect games, they sneak a next generation Killer Instinct on us. The game was announced at the Microsoft E3 press conference, with the news that Rare will be developing the game along with Double Helix.

Though the game wasn’t showcased, we did get a superbly awesome “Ultraaaa Combooooo”. That’s all we really need at this point.

So far Microsoft has announced Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, a new Xbox 360 design, Ryse: Son of Rome and is currently in the middle of announcing an exclusive title developed by Insomniac for the Xbox One. Yes, seriously. It’s hard at this point to believe this is actually Microsoft’s conference at this point.

Stay tuned for more as we see how much crazier and more exciting this can get.
