The PS Vita is quickly becoming the new home for spin-offs and new IPs. Guerrilla Games was the newest to hop on the bandwagon, as they announced Killzone: Mercenary, a first person shooter, at GamesCom 2012 during Sony’s press conference.
The footage showcased at GamesCom 2012 shows the mechanics of the game, including the touchscreen controls and how they can be used for melee attacks. A fair degree of the story was revealed, though beyond shadowy mercenary groups and existential questions, not much else.
No release date, as usual, but we’ll stay tuned.
