Kingdom Hearts 3 is still a few days away from its launch in the west, but in Japan, the game is out, and those with Japanese copies of the game have discovered that it offers higher graphical options on the PS4 Pro and the Xbox One X. As discovered by a user on Reddit, under the graphics options of Kingdom Hearts 3, players can either choose to prioritize visuals, or performance.
This, of course, has become increasingly standard for games on the two enhanced consoles, with one option prioritizing higher frame rate at the expense of resolution, and the other doing the opposite. It’s unknown what the exact figures for both those things are in the case of Kingdom Hearts 3 specifically, but usually that amounts to either 60 frames per second, or 4K resolutions (either dynamic or native). Either way, having the option is obviously a huge bonus.
In related news, recently, Kingdom Hearts 3 director Tetsuya Nomura said, in light of recent leaks, he was reconsidering whether future games made by him would go for simultaneous worldwide releases anymore. For now, that remains the case, and Kingdom Hearts 3 releases in the rest of the world on January 29. Check out some of its gameplay footage through here in the meantime.
