It was becoming such that we never thought we’d type the above headline. But it’s true. Just after indicating the transformation of Final Fantasy Versus XIII into Final Fantasy XV, Square Enix had another surprise up its sleeve with the announcement of Kingdom Hearts 3 for the PlayStation 4.

And thankfully, Square Enix reassured us that it won’t be renamed to Kingdom Hearts 15 at any point. Which is now a legit concern for every single Square Enix franchise if you ask us.

Not much was shown for the game, aside from a short gameplay trailer. It’s not even clear at this point if both FFXV and Kingdom Hearts 3 are exclusive to the PlayStation 4 or if they will be appearing on the Xbox One at some point. After all, with the addition of Crimson Dragon, it’s not like Microsoft’s console won’t be appealing to Japanese gamers.

Stay tuned for more information and announcements from Sony’s E3 press conference.
