Saints Row The Third

Koch Media, which runs the games studio Deep Silver and publishes several franchises like Saints Row, Dead Island and Metro, has replied to reports that it is in talks to be acquired. Long story short, it’s not happening.

“We have seen a recent report suggesting Koch Media is for sale. We are happy to say that Koch Media (including its premium games publishing label Deep Silver) is well-financed, profitable, and a stable and growing business in the entertainment industry.

“Independent companies like us understandably attract interest. As a matter of fact, we ourselves are always on the lookout for responsible acquisition opportunities in the fields of publishing and distribution to accelerate our growth. But we are not for sale.”

Currently, Deep Silver is busy with a number of projects including Homefront: The Revolution in association with Crytek, Dead Island 2 (developed by Yager), Metro: Redux and much more. What are your thoughts on Koch Media ever being acquired? Let us know below.
