The Summer Game Fest Showcase goes live today at noon PDT with two hours of reveals and announcements. However, it’s only the start of a week of showcases. The next major event is the Future Games Show Summer Showcase on June 10th at 10 AM PT. Hexworks’ Lords of the Fallen is already confirmed to appear, but GamesRadar has confirmed other world premieres.
Paradox Interactive’s Life By You, its Sims-like life simulator, will have a developer presentation. Bloober Team’s Layers of Fear, a remake of the first two games and the Inheritance DLC with new content, is getting a new trailer, while Ironwood Studios’ rogue-lite driving survival game Pacific Drive will receive a “new look.”
There will also be some VR titles, including VR Skater and Sega’s C-Smash VRS, a reimagined version of Cosmic Smash from the Dreamcast era. Over 50 games will be at the showcase, with a segment devoted to demos that will be playable after, so stay tuned for plenty of new details.
