Turtle Rock Studios’ Left 4 Dead has received its final campaign. No, you didn’t miss anything about the Evolve developer suddenly working with Valve again.

Instead, co-founder Chris Ashton revealed that Dam It was the final campaign that “was never finished, along with a couple survival maps that never shipped. Dam It stitches Dead Air and Blood Harvest together.” Ashton further noted that the campaign is a “gray box, and some code features are missing but it’s playable from beginning to end. It also includes two standalone survival maps that never shipped.”

All that’s required is that you own the PC version of Left 4 Dead. Keep in mind that there are issues including zombies not crawling all the time in the orchard, the covered bridge not collapsing with explosions, the burned forest area missing the odd wandering fire or two and so on.

If you’ve already checked out the campaign, what are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments.
