Neowiz and Round8 Studio have announced that Lies of P, a Souls-like action RPG set in a Belle Epoque world, will launch in August. A new trailer has been released, showcasing a creature fusing with the remains of a large puppet. Mr. Geppetto, who Pinocchio must pursue, appears to be manipulating the process.
Based on the famous story, Lies of P has players exploring the ruined city of Krat, where puppets have wrought destruction. Mr. Geppetto seems to have a hand in all this, and it’s up to you to find out what’s going on. As a puppet mechanoid, Pinocchio can change out body parts to gain different skills for combat and other functions.
You can also combine weapons in several ways to create powerful items. Given the original story, Pinocchio will also undertake quests with different outcomes based on the lies you tell. These can affect the story’s conclusion and lead to different endings.
Lies of P is coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. It also launches day one on Game Pass. Head here for more extensive gameplay footage.
