In addition to new details on Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth’s combat, including the new Smackdown feature for weaker enemies, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has also discussed the Job System. Each character has an exclusive Job now, with Kiryu’s being the most unique.

The Dragon of Dojima can switch between three Styles – Brawler for heavy hits and Heat Actions, Rush for quick attacks and movement, and Sledgehammer for grabbing objects and enemies to throw around. He also has Dragon’s Resurgence, allowing him to move around freely and attack enemies for a period.

Ichiban’s exclusive Job is Hero with various attacks and healing skills. Eric Tomizawa is a Cabbie, who can use a Wrench and control water and electricity while debuffing foes with statuses. Chitose Fujinomiya is a Heiress, using dance-based combat to reduce an enemy’s attack and agility. Yu Nanba is a Homeless Guy utilizing fire and pigeons to knock down multiple targets.

Koichi Adachi is a Detective capable of breaking defenses and maintaining his own as a tank. Saeko Mukoda’s Barmaid Job lets her inflict Cold, Blind and other ailments on enemies Seonhee’s Assassin Job uses whips, crossbows and projectiles to paralyze enemies. Joongi Han is the Hitman, specializing in high agility and dishing out critical strikes. Finally, Tianyou Zhao is a Mafia man who uses sabers and weakens his foes while he gets stronger.

Overall, there should be more opportunities for customization and strategy over its predecessor. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth launches on January 26th, 2024, for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
