Fans of the Yakuza series will be getting a very different taste of its offerings soon. Like a Dragon: Ishin! is launching soon, and it promises to transport players to Japan’s Edo era and tell a story populated by new characters with familiar faces. Ahead of its release, Sega has released a new trailer that sets up the game’s story.

Players will step into the shoes of Sakamoto Ryoma, a samurai (and an ancestor of Yakuza protagonist Kazuma Kiryu), who embarks on a quest for vengeance and tracking down his mentor’s killer- a murder, incidentally, for which he has been framed. The trailer, which you can check out below, offers glimpses of a number of characters and the obstacles that Ryoma will face on his journey.

Of course, outside of its main story, Like a Dragon: Ishin! will also offer the sort of goofy, over-the-top fun that the series has always been known for, thanks to its minigames and side stories, the Trooper Cards system, and more.

Like a Dragon: Ishin! launches on February 21 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
