LittleBigPlanet Hub Announced: New Free to Play PS3 Title Launches in 2013

"Play, Create, Share" returns.

LittleBigPlanet Hub was announced at Sony’s Gamescom 2013 press conference, which is a new free to play PS3 service (or title, we can’t be sure) that will launch later this year for the console. Stephen Fry took to the stage and discussed various challenges along with the new creation suite, community competitions and prizes for the same.

After somewhat of a prolonged absence, Media Molecule finally came out of hiding at Gamescom and though it’s not quite the full-length LittleBigPlanet that we expected, forget a sequel to previous games, it is good to see the developer back in action. Moreover, Sony is showing strong support for the PlayStation 3 this year, despite the PlayStation 4 launching during the Holiday season (or late November, if rumours are to be believed).

Stay tuned for more details from Sony’s Gamescom 2013 presser, including coverage of upcoming indie titles and other announcements, especially for the next-generation PlayStation 4.
