Reviews went live recently for Hexworks’ Lords of the Fallen, praising the game’s art style, combat, and use of dual worlds for exploration. However, there have been complaints about performance and other technical issues on PS5 and PC.

The developer is aware of these issues, tweeting their thanks to content creators to enable “the rapid deployment of patches, updates and performance improvements” before the game’s release. It said PS5 and PC players will be able to “enjoy the game as intended,” but the Xbox Series X/S version is still “being updated” to bring it “to parity with the other platforms.”

This patch will go live in the coming days, seemingly indicating that it will be available for other platforms at launch. Whether it addresses all the complaints about performance remains to be seen, so stay tuned for more details. Those on Xbox Series X/S should probably hold off for a few days before jumping in.

Lords of the Fallen launches on October 13th. Check out our official review for more details. You can also watch the launch trailer here.
