Lords Of The Fallen Sold Over 3 Million Units; CI Games Says It’ll Be Next “Established” Series

The fantasy game did pretty well for itself.

Lords of the Fallen

It was back in 2014 when Lords of the Fallen launched. It was one of the first ‘Souls-like’ games set in a medieval setting with dark environments. The overall reception to the game was okay, though it was clear its influence was being worn on its sleeve a tad too much. However, it seems to have done well for itself, and publisher CI Games sees it as their next franchise.

The publisher announced that the game had sold over 3 million units since its launch 6 years ago. They also refer to it as their next “established” franchise. It’s unclear what that means exactly, but presumably it means they are looking at it in a similar vein to their Sniper Warrior series that’s seen steady releases with solid success.

The Lords of the Fallen 2 was announced a long time ago, but just got something of a re-reveal with the logo and some details on the title. It’s set to release at some point for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. If you’re curious to check out the first game, it’s available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
