We get our first look at Lost Planet 3.

Capcom and Spark Unlimited have released the first trailer for the upcoming third person action adventure Lost Planet 3. Check it out above, though honestly, prepare to be underwhelmed.

We get a look at how the game runs though after the similarly snow-adorned Dead Space 3 earlier this year, we can’t say that it’s anything looks visually distinctive. Taking place before the first game, we see the protagonist head into a base and restore the computers before being attacked by a giant bug. And yes, it still has the big glowing weak point that you have to shoot to kill it.

The gameplay within the mech doesn’t seem to be much different either, mimicking a typical turrent sequence. Then again, there’s plenty of time for the game to come out on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3, with a North American release on August 27th and a European release on August 30th. So fingers crossed then it goes above and beyond our expectations.
