PS4 title Lost Soul Aside has had its share of delays over the years but 2020 could be different. According to a report by Xinwen Zongheng, creator Yang Bing’s milestone for 2020 is to release the game. Bing also said that he hopes for the IP to grow more in the future, potentially branching out into other genres.

“The milestone in 2020 is to release this game. We are shaping the game as best as we can do, not just only for the players who keep supporting us, but also for our investors to have a better business return. In the long run, I hope that we can let this IP travel further, by accumulating experience, so that our team may deliver something not just in this genre, but also in other genres,” Bing said.

Lost Soul Aside started out as an action title inspired by Final Fantasy 15. Its sleek visuals and fast combat helped propel it into the public sphere. Soon enough, the title would join PlayStation’s China Hero Project with Ultizero Games joining in development.

Though Lost Soul Aside may have its work cut out for it, especially with the next generation of consoles out this holiday season, we’re still intrigued to see the results. Stay tuned for more information on its release date in the coming months.
