Hangar 13’s Mafia: The Old Country is shaping up well, with a new trailer highlighting one of the more pivotal early story cinematics. It’s the initiation of Enzo Favara into the Torrisi family, completing his descent into the underworld. Check it out below.
As it’s set before the mainline series, Enzo’s overarching role in the saga remains to be seen. However, players will experience a different location – Sicily in the 1900s – as they combat opposing families. Though you’ll still drive vintage cars, there’s also horseback riding. Gunfights can break out with sawed-off shotguns and revolvers coming in handy, but ammo is less common.
This means engaging in knife fights or even utilizing stealth to overcome some encounters (which have a “life-or-death” vibe to them). Mafia: The Old Country is out on August 8th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. It’s a linear narrative-focused title and, in another first for the series, it retails for $49.99.
