Hangar 13 has debuted some new footage of Mafia: The Old Country, courtesy of IGN First, which provides a more extensive look at the gameplay. It starts with protagonist Enzo Favara meeting with Don Torrisi in his household before prepping for a mission.
The preparation involves choosing a weapon, and Enzo opts for the Hunting Shotgun. Cut to some driving through the beautiful Sicily countryside in a vintage classic before arriving at his objective: Infiltrating a villa. Enzo can either avoid guards and stealthily assassinate them with his knife (which can also be thrown).
Of course, a gunfight quickly breaks out, with Enzo moving through cover and taking out various guards. He eventually arrives at his target and smacks with a bust, though whether that’s enough for the kill is left unknown.
Mafia: The Old Country launches on August 8th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC after going gold last month. Stay tuned for more details and gameplay, and check out Enzo’s initiation into the Torrisi family here.
