Through numerous delays, Tripwire Interactive’s upcoming action RPG (or ShARkPG, if you’d prefer) Maneater is out this week. The story is simple – you play a baby shark scarred by a hunter named Scaly Pete. Following the death of its mother, the shark embarks on a quest for vengeance.

This means eating lots of sea life to survive. Eventually you’ll  start hunting humans as well, eating them for more nutrients until you grow to become a megalodon. Along the way, different abilities can be unlocked including bone plated armor, dodging bullets by barrel-rolling out of the water and much more.

Along with the ultimate goal of taking down Scaly Pete, players will travel to seven different regions to kill their respective predators. You’ll contend with other bounty hunters, including lead hunters that can be killed for special rewards. Maneater is out on May 22nd for Xbox One, PS4 and PC (via the Epic Games Store). The Nintendo Switch version releases later this year.
