Nintendo’s Mario Kart Tour, a mobile version of the classic kart racing franchise, is out today for Android and iOS. It will introduce New York City as its first tour along with introducing racers like Pauline and Musician Mario from Super Mario Odyssey. Check out the trailer below to see them in action.
Tours see you earning Grand Stars, which are spent on Cups to receive Tour Gifts (they can also unlock races). These Tour Gifts contain gliders, karts and characters with Yoshi being an earnable drivers while the Tour is ongoing. As for Musician Mario and Pauline, they each character have special abilities.
The former can throw two Bo-ombs at the same time while the latter uses Lucky Seven, receiving seven power-ups at once. Keep in mind these characters can only be earned during the New York Tour – they’ll be unavailable afterwards. The New York City tour starts today and ends on October 9th.
