mario + rabbids sparks of hope

An ordinary sequel to Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle that plays things safe and just delivers more of the same would have been exciting enough by itself, given how solid the 2017 title was, but with the upcoming Mario + Rabbids Sparks of HopeUbisoft and Nintendo have changed and added quite a bit, and every bit we’ve seen of it so far has only ramped up our anticipation. Excitement surrounding its release continues to mount as we approach it, and in the lead-up to launch, a new trailer has also now been released.

The cinematic launch trailer sets up the journey of Mario and his friends as they travel through the galaxy to fight Cursa, a malevolent and mysterious force that is corrupting many worlds with its influence. The trailer offers us a look at the wide and varied cast of playable characters in the game, and gives glimpses of their weapons, enemies, combo attacks, and of course, the humour that you’d expect to see from the crossover. Check it out below.

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is launching for the Nintendo Switch later this month, on October 20.
