Marvel Rivals - Clone Rumble

Marvel Rivals is getting a new event starting on March 7 – Clone Rumble. The mode involves each team selecting a single hero and only allowed to play that hero. Think No Limits from Overwatch, except everyone on your team has to play the same hero. Check out the trailer to see some potential match-ups that could occur.

You could have 12 Mister Fantastics strutting into battle and (failing) to damage each other or 12 Punishers playing turret battle. Of course, some one-sided match-ups can occur. If your team chooses Namor while the opposing team has Spider-Man, you can set up a dangerous network of squids to shoot them down.

Interestingly, there are also free rewards with Galacta navigating a board game-like interface. You can earn Lattices (the premium currency) and other rewards for free alongside a new Black Widow skin – the Widow of Timely, seemingly inspired by Marvel 1872.

Stay tuned for more details when the event goes live. Marvel Rivals is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, with over 40 million players since launch. However, it’s faced some controversy following the layoffs of its US-based development team. Head here for follow-up details.
