Season 3 of NetEase’s Marvel Rivals, The Abyss Awakens, is now live, adding Phoenix as a new Vanguard hero. Blade, the second new hero, will presumably arrive for the mid-season update, but in the meantime, you can unleash fiery nukes on enemies as Jean Grey.
A new map, Klyntar: Celestial Husk, is also available, tying into the conflict between Phoenix and Knull (and the new Queen in Black, Hela). Two new Team-Ups are also live – The Human Torch x Spider-Man and Phoenix x Wolverine. The latest seasonal event also grants a free Symbiote-like outfit to Storm, and you can avail of “College Perks” with options for trying on ten premium costumes.
If that wasn’t enough, ten new outfits are available in the Battle Pass, offering a mix of Symbiote and Phoenix-themed outfits for various heroes. You can also equip new accessories for some added cosmetic flair.
Marvel Rivals is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Stay tuned in the coming weeks for balance changes and other content that the mid-season update has to offer.
