Arc System Works and Sony dropped a new introductory video for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls for EVO 2025, but that’s not all. They’ve announced that a closed beta will be available from September 5th to 7th on PS5. You can register for it through the PlayStation Beta Program.

Six characters will be available to try out in online battles – Captain America, Ms. Marvel, Star-Lord, Doctor Doom, Storm and Iron Man – and you can see their command lists. New York City is available as a stage with three main areas: Hell’s Kitchen, Avengers Park and City Center.

You can also access the Lobby (which supports 64 players and features chibi avatars) or participate in the Startup Battle against CPU opponents to get a grasp on the 4v4 tag gameplay. It’s also possible to spectate other players’ online matches.

Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls launches in 2026 for PS5 and PC. Stay tuned for more details on the animated fighter in the lead-up to the closed beta over the coming weeks.
