Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics Launches in 2024

The collection features six classic fighting games and a beat 'em up title, with new features like rollback netcode and Ranked play.

It probably wouldn’t be a Nintendo Direct without Capcom, and thankfully, the publisher offered something for Marvel vs. Capcom fans on all platforms. Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics launches later this year for Nintendo Switch, PS4 and PC via Steam. It collects six titles in the illustrious fighting game series together for the first time. Check out the trailer below.

It includes X-Men: Children of the Atom, Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes and Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes. There’s also the 1993 arcade beat ’em up title The Punisher for some inexplicable reason.

Alongside new display filters, Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics features options for Custom Matches and spectating. There’s a museum for checking out never-before-seen art, a music player with each game’s original songs and various training settings (including hitbox data). You can also configure one-button special moves for quick execution.

Perhaps best of all, however, is the option to save and load wherever one pleases, allowing you to redo a fight if you’re not confident. If that wasn’t enough, online play features rollback netcode, casual matches, lobbies for inviting friends and Ranked play. You can also indulge in a High Score Challenge in The Punisher. Stay tuned for more details ahead of the collection’s release.
