Marvel’s Avengers comes out next year and hopes to tell a human story with the many characters you have come to know and love through the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Yesterday, we got a look at how Black Widow plays, which you can check out through here. Now, though, the developers have decided to highlight the character’s design and history.
In a new tweet from the official Twitter, we get several panning and close up shots of Black Widow’s character model. While there’s been a bit of disappointment from some fans about the lack of direct MCU influence to how the characters look in-game, Widow is actually pretty close. Her base design and costume has changed little since her introduction in the 1970s. You can follow the Twitter thread below to get more details on that history.
Marvel’s Avengers will release May 15th 2020 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia.
As far as uniforms go, Black Widow has sleek and stylish down to an art. Her mainstay black silhouette has evolved over the years since its 1970’s debut, with new equipment and embellishments modernizing the design rather than reinventing it. Why fix what isn’t broken? pic.twitter.com/T0liGEo07y

Natasha’s weaponized gauntlets – called Widow’s Bite – and circular belt design are directly inspired by iconic Marvel art, but with a tactical execution.

"As with @CrystalDynamics’ other Super Hero redesigns, the goal was a fresh but familiar ensemble, instantly recognizable as the Ex-Russian agent, but unique to the original story told in Marvel’s Avengers."#EmbraceYourPowers #Reassemble
