Yet another high-profile release, at least in the VR space, has been delayed with Marvel’s Iron Man VR being pushed back. Originally slated to release on February 28th, the Sony-published title will now release on May 15th. Developer Camouflaj noted on Twitter that the delay was made in order to “deliver on our vision” and “meet the high expectations of our amazing community”.
Exclusive to PlayStation VR, Marvel’s Iron Man VR sees Tony Stark facing off against a hacker named Ghost. On a mission to take down Stark’s offices around the world, Ghost is using old Stark Industries technology. What is her grand plan and why is Stark being targeted? We’ll have to play the game to find out.
Along with the classic Iron Man HUD, players will also replicate the feeling of firing off energy blasts using PlayStation Move controllers. Upgrades can also be unlocked to garner new abilities. Thus far, Marvel’s Iron Man VR looked promising so hopefully the additional time and polish will help. Stay tuned for more details on the title in the coming months.
In order to deliver on our vision and meet the high expectations of our amazing community, we’ve made the difficult decision to move Marvel’s Iron Man VR to a May 15, 2020 release. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding. You’ll be hearing from us again soon!
