Miles Morales as a character has existed for quite some time. He was introduced all the way back in 2011 in the Ultimate Spider-Man comic book series, but for many, he was probably introduced in the hit film Into the Spider-Verse. That helped to boost his presence and popularity, and here we are about to see the launch of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales alongside Sony’s PS5. The game is also tipping its hat to that film in the coolest possible way.
It was revealed earlier today that one of the many suits that Miles will be able to don will, in fact, be the suit from the Spider-Verse film. However, it’s a lot more than just a random skin. Marvel released a video demoing it, and not only does it change the character’s art style to mimic the film, it even animates in the unique way the movie does. It’s a tad jarring at first, but it’s a very cool touch.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales will release for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 November 12th. The Into the Spider-Verse suit will be a pre-order bonus.
