EA has announced that it has shipped a total of 3.5 million copies of Mass Effect 3 to retailers worldwide- impressive numbers. Mass Effect 3 is, EA claims, “the first pop culture event and the biggest entertainment launch of 2012”.

EA also claims that the Xbox 360 version of the game has gotten over 30 perfect reviews. In our own review of the game, we gave it a score of 10/10, calling it “a perfect conclusion to the perfect trilogy” and praising it for its “emotional storytelling, intense gameplay, deep and complex characterization and sky-high production values”.

“We have been truly humbled by the amazing response from fans and critics for Mass Effect 3,” BioWare co-founder Dr. Ray Muzyka said.

“The game is a gripping, engaging experience where the decisions and choices you make will truly stay with you for the months and years ahead. We are all incredibly proud of Casey Hudson and the teams in Edmonton and Montreal for delivering the best game BioWare has ever made.”

Mass Effect 3 is doing pretty well, both commercially and critically. It managed to sell 900K copies on day 1 in the US alone.
