It’s been two years now since Mass Effect 3 released and launched a million disappointed memes everywhere. Nonetheless, it remains one of the best action RPGs ever and a strong – if divisive – end to a storied trilogy. Or at least it would be the end of Bioware hadn’t revealed it was working on Mass Effect 4.

Information has been sparse on the fourth iteration of the franchise, which we know won’t feature Commander Shepard and differ a bit from previous games in a few ways. But according to Bioware Montreal studio director Yannick Roy, they want to do it right over doing it fast.

“I apologize for not having any new info on the next Mass Effect for you. It’s because our focus is on doing it right over doing it fast! :-)”

Bioware GM for Edmonton and Montreal Studios Aaryn Flynn also mentioned that, “Two years to the day since we launched Mass Effect 3. Time flies. Can’t wait to get everyone back to that universe.”

Maybe we’ll know more about the game at E3? Here’s hoping. Stay tuned in the meantime.
