Mass Effect: Andromeda Multiplayer Teasing Platinum Difficulty, Batarians

The "fun" appears to still be missing.

Bioware’s quest to keep Mass Effect: Andromeda’s multiplayer interesting continues with a new Platinum difficulty teased. The latest trailer also indicates that Batarians, missing from the game till now, will be joining APEX’s fight.

What’s so significant about Platinum difficulty? In Mass Effect 3, it was considered the greatest challenge with mostly Elite enemies to tussle with. The payouts were great in terms of currency though. In Andromeda, Platinum will seemingly be introduced with the APEX Missions which feature special challenges with modifiers that reward boxes with weapons, consumables and even characters.

As for the game’s single-player DLC, Bioware is still mum about the same after refuting reports about it being cancelled. The series is on hiatus currently and most of Bioware Montreal is now working on other projects such as Bioware Edmonton’s upcoming Anthem.

Still, what are your thoughts on Mass Effect: Andromeda receiving Platinum difficulty and Batarians? Let us know in the comments.
