The long-awaited remake for MediEvil is coming this month to PS4 courtesy of Other Ocean Emeryville. Obviously the revamped visuals are the biggest draw but how do they compare to the PlayStation One version? Sony Producer Nick Accordino say with PlayStation Underground for an extensive gameplay video to compare the two versions.

The Asylum Grounds level is also showcased so it’s worth checking out how it shapes up in the remake. Much like the original, the MediEvil remake centers on Sir Dan, who perished in battle many years prior. When his old foe Zarok re-emerges and raises the dead, a newly reanimated Dan gets a second chance at glory.

MediEvil arrives on October 25th for PlayStation 4. For more behind the scenes information on the remake, check out this developer diary. You can also brush up on the in-game shields and their functions here. Stay tuned for more details on the remake as we near its release.
