The next year will start with a bang as Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes releases for both current and next gen consoles. The game will serve as a prologue to The Phantom Pain and director Hideo Kojima is offering updates for the game across Twitter along with a new image of Snake covered in blood.

Kojima reasserts that, “GZ is both a prologue of MGSV story & at the same time, a tutorial of new MGS which transits to sneaking simulator.” However, compared to the main game i.e. The Phantom Pain, it is much smaller. “W/ that said, GZ has comparatively small field as compare to main (which is hundreds of times bigger) w/o time change.”

Nonetheless, Ground Zeroes will offer plenty of variety for players. “But each mission offers different time zone w/ different play.”

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will release on March 18th 2014 in North America and March 20th 2014 in Europe for Xbox One, PS3, PS4 and Xbox 360.
