Metal Gear Solid 5 The Phantom Pain

Were you curious at the end of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain’s E3 trailer about why Diamond Dogs members were attacking Venom Snake/Big Boss? It’s due to the game’s multiplayer which allows for other players to attack your Mother Base and raid it.

According to director Hideo Kojima in conversation with CVG, “People who want to create a Mother Base in a very detailed way will be able to design it through the interface, or using their smart device.

“I cannot talk too much, but for people who saw the presentation, it ends with your Mother Base being attacked. People can infiltrate you, and you can infiltrate other people’s Mother Base.”

How this will work remains to be seen but it could be similar to Watch Dogs’ online invasions wherein you infiltrate other players’ games and attempt to extract information for experience. Would you appreciate these features in The Phantom Pain? Let us know below.
