Earlier in the year we got the latest entry in the popular Metro series, Metro Exodus. A shooter series based loosely on Russian novels of the same name, it follows Artyom trying to survive the harsh nuclear winter around him through various locations in Russia (mostly the metro underground system). And the series isn’t done yet, it seems, as we now know that the next game in the series is underway.

As revealed in THQ Nordic’s latest financial report, 4A Games will be returning to the franchise, as another Metro game is in development. Earlier in the year, 4A Games announced they were working on an unannounced AAA game title, though it’s not clear if this was the title being referred to, or if it was something different.

Metro Exodus is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The game exceeded expectations all around for the publisher, so it’s not unexpected that a sequel is already in the works. We don’t know much else about it at this point in time. We’ll keep you updated as more news comes out.
