As one of the oldest and most celebrated PC franchises, Microsoft Flight Simulator has always had a pretty big fan following, but with its recent release – which turned out to be much better and much more ambitious than most people would have expected – it’s touched new heights. It has, in fact, broken several records at launch.
In a new blog post, Microsoft confirmed that Microsoft Flight Simulator has enjoyed the biggest launch for a game on Xbox Game Pass for PC to date, having racked up over 1 million player so far. This also makes it the biggest launch for the Flight Simulator franchise as a whole. So far, the Microsoft Flight Simulator community has collectively flown over 26 million flights, and have logged in over 1 billion miles flown in total. Clearly, people are enjoying taking to the skies in the series’ revival.
Microsoft Flight Simulator is available on PC, and is also scheduled to launch on Xbox One at an unspecified date. Microsoft have also released an accolades trailer for the game to highlight the positive reception it’s received from various critics. Take a look at it below.
