Microsoft Won’t Host Xbox Presser at Gamescom 2016

Attendees will go hands on with a number of titles though.

Even with a strong presser last year headlined by Scalebound, Quantum Break and Crackdown 3, Microsoft won’t be hosting its own presser at this year’s Gamescom.

According to the company, it will look to host a “new and more intimate Xbox FanFest experience for our fans.” The last time we heard about something like that was with EA Play but it’s likely that there won’t be a live-stream with announcements.

Xbox marketing executive Aaron Greenberg did note that Microsoft had a “record-setting E3” and while Gamescom won’t feature it’s own presser, attendees can look forward to getting their hands on titles such as Gears of War 4, Forza Horizon 3, ReCore, Sea of Thieves, Halo Wars 2, We Happy Few, Cuphead and Everspace.

What are your thoughts on Microsoft not hosting a presser at this year’s Gamescom? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more information. Gamescom 2016 will take place from August 17th to August 21st.
