Mojang and Blackbird Interactive released a new trailer for Minecraft Legends, its action strategy game based on the beloved Minecraft franchise. It sees the piglins invading the Overworld, and a hero rising to meet them along with numerous familiar mobs. Check it out below.

Some familiar units that help out include zombies and golems (with some new ones added here). Players can command their units to assault different structures while partaking in combat. While action strategy games can be messy, everything looks pretty manageable. Though this footage represents an assault by the player, players will also have to defend various settlements from the piglins throughout the campaign.

Minecraft Legends releases in the first half of 2023 for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch while also launching on day one for Game Pass. In addition to a single-player campaign, there’s competitive and cooperative multiplayer. Stay tuned for more details and gameplay in the coming months.
