MLB The Show 21 Video Details Gameplay Styles

As part of its schedule of feature premieres for MLB The Show 21, Sony San Diego Studio has released a new video detailing various gameplay styles. Players can tailor the gameplay to their liking, opting for either a casual play experience or a more realistic depiction of the sport. Check it out below.

The development team also notes various other improvements to fly ball catches, Z-axis catches and so on. It’s also introducing a new mechanic for pitching which will be further detailed in March. On February 23rd, there will be a week-long closed technical test for a limited number of players – apply here for more information.

MLB The Show 21 is out on April 20th and will be releasing for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S along with PS4 and PS5. Visual improvements are a given but there will also be new reward paths in Diamond Dynasty in addition to other changes. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.
