It does not look too good, does it?

Capcom has released a wide variety of screenshots for their next entry in the Monster Hunter series for the Nintendo 3DS. Monster Hunter 4 is a sequel to Monster Hunter 3. The new game will add brand new type of weapons, monsters and will have a huge re-design on the game’s environments.

Judging from the screenshots below the game doesn’t look anymore visually appealing than the previous titles which is quite unfortunate and it also boggles my mind why the Monster Hunter series hasn’t hit a full next-gen reboot. Despite the fact that there is a Monster Hunter MMO in development that is running on CryEngine 3 which looks leagues ahead than any of the previous titles.

Check out the new screenshots for Monster Hunter 4 down below.

Capcom/Nintendo still continue to have faith that Monster Hunter looks fascinating in terms of visual quality on the Nintendo 3DS and the Wii U. Yet, the games still look like they were developed on the PlayStation 2 despite the HD resolution upgrade on the Wii U.
