Monster Hunter Rise has been out for a while now, but of course, as is the case with any Monster Hunter game, there’s a lot to come ahead for fans to look forward to. There is the rumoured G-rank expansion, of course, but before that, much like they did with Monster Hunter World, Capcom will be releasing several free updates for Rise as well. One of these is due out imminently, and will be adding new monsters to the game (including Apex Rathalos).

One of these will be the Ancient Phantom known as Chameleos, and taking recently to Twitter, Capcom provided a brief glimpse of what it will bring to the table. True to its name, the Chameleos can camouflage itself to effectively turn itself invisible, which should make fights against it an interesting affair. Oh, and you’re going to want to equip some pretty good anti-poison gear when you head out to take it on.

Monster Hunter Rise is available on Nintendo Switch, and will be launching for PC in 2022. Monster Hunter Digital Event is scheduled for April 27, where Capcom will be sharing new details on Rise’s upcoming update, as well as Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin.
