Monster Hunter Rise - Apex Rathalos

Monster Hunter Rise is finally available for the Nintendo Switch but the journey doesn’t stop here. Capcom has post-launch updates that will add new monsters and features. One of those is Apex Rathalos who will be added to the game in late April when update 2.0 drops.

It’s unclear whether this same update will add Chameleos and the game’s ending along with unlocking the Hunter Rank cap. The developer already said that there would be several monsters in next month’s update so it’s possible. Either way, there will be plenty of weapons and armor to craft in the coming weeks.

Monster Hunter Rise is currently exclusive to Switch but will also be coming to PC in early 2022. In the meantime, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will be coming to Switch and PC on July 9th. It’s a turn-based RPG which sees the player raising a Razewing Ratha and embarking on a journey to protect it. Stay tuned for more details and gameplay in the meantime.
