Monster Hunter has become one of Capcom’s biggest franchises in recent years, and it’s seen major success on all platforms. Monster Hunter World arrived for PC and consoles in 2018, while 2021 brought Monster Hunter Rise to Switch (with a PC version following in 2022). Soon, however, it seems Rise will be making its way over to other platforms as well.
Journalist Tom Henderson has claimed in a report published on Insider-Gaming that Monster Hunter Rise is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and Xbox One, and will also be available via Game Pass. The base game will allegedly launch for the platforms on January 20, 2023, with the expansion, Sunbreak, following in Spring 2023.
On current-gen consoles, the game will allegedly run at 4K and 60 FPS, while 3D audio will also be supported. An announcement is expecting soon, with Henderson stating it’s likely to happen at The Game Awards on December 8.
Monster Hunter Rise and Sunbreak are currently available on Nintendo Switch and PC. As of September 30, Rise has sold over 11 million units, while Sunbreak has sold 4.4 million units.
