Monster Hunter Stories 2 Wings of Ruin-02

Ahead of its launch next month, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin has a free trial available on the Nintendo eShop. It’s currently available in Europe and will roll out to the rest of the world today. As noted in this official post, players can experience the beginning of the RPG, customizing their Rider’s appearance and utilizing Monsties.

Any progress made during the trial will transfer over into the full game. Those who also play Monster Hunter Rise will receive a free Kinship Talisman that has the Wide-Range and Master Mounter skills. The trial requires 2.8 GB of free space and doesn’t feature local or online multiplayer modes. Only one save data slot is available though the full game will have three slots.

While it’s possible to hit level 11 during the trial, you won’t get any more EXP past that point. Regardless, as an appetizer for the full game, the trial should suffice. Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin releases in full on July 9th for PC and Nintendo Switch.
